THE MECHANISMS OF INTOXICATIONS INFLUENCE OF CYTOTOXIC EFFECTS OF PLATIDIAM ON THE STATE OF ANTIOXIDANT SYSTEM OF GLUTATHIONE L.V. Boitsova Dynamics of changes in the contents of reduced and oxidized glutathione, activity of glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase in different organs of rats under the influence of a single injection of platidiam in the MBD was studied. It was shown that cytotoxic effects of the antitumour preparation on the state of antioxidant system of glutathione were manifested by the decrease of the contents of reduced glutathione in the liver and spleen, and of its disulphide in all the organs studied on the early stage of intoxication followed by compensatory increase of the contents of tripeptide in the liver and kidneys and by accumulation of the oxidized glutathione in the liver tissue. Platidiam caused activation of the enzymes of glutathione antiperoxidase system in the kidneys and spleen and stable inhibition of the activity of glutathione peroxidase in the liver tissue. |
