THE BASIS OF MAXIMUM ALLOWABL CONCENTRATION OF TETRAMETHYLETHYLENDIAMINE (TMED) IN THE AIR OF THE WORKING ZONE

The main parameters of TMED toxicity, a hazardous production factor, the thresholdsof an inhalation and irritation effect were determined in this stady. The analysis of literature information, the results of physiological, biochemical, allergologic investigation, the stady of peculiarities of an irritating and systemic toxic effect, possible follow-up effects of exposure to the substance allowed to rate it in terms of a severity of a predominantly irritating effect. The value of 0,5 mg/m3 (vapours, hazardous production factor 2) which is claimed to be an official hygienic rate was recommended as an maximum allowable concentration of TMED.
