PENTOXIFYLLINE INFLUENCE ON CHYMASE, TONIN, ELASTASE ACTIVITIES IN RATS AT INTOXICATION OF MERCURY СHLORIDE

L.M. Samokhina

Preliminary introduction of pentoxifylline (PX) prevents the rising of elastase activity at intoxication of mercury сhloride, that indicates exhibiting of PX ability to limit effects of neytrophile activation. Application of PX at intoxication results in tonin level decrease and chymase activity increase in lung, that can be connected accordingly with bronchodilatation PX effect or the lung hypertension development. The use of PX at intoxication is provoked the decrease of chymase activity in liver, that can testify about limitation of its synthesis by mast cells and specify the mechanism ensuring local inhibition of mercury toxic effects development. In kidneys thus the rising chymase and tonin levels, that is caused vasoconstriction, which development, most likely, is promoted by presence of methyl mercury.

PX in absence of intoxication of mercury сhloride results in elastase activation in heart, lungs, tonin — in heart, liver and kidneys, chymase — in heart, and thus, can provoke development of vasoconstrictions and destructive processes.
