SOLID-PHASE COMPETITIVE ENZYME IMMUNOASSAY OF THE PESTICIDE 2,4-DICHLOROPHENOXYACETIC ACID

Polyclonal antibodies against pesticide 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4D) were produced and characterized. The effect of the macro-molecular structure of the peptide conjugates 2,4D on their immunogenic properties were studied. The sensitivity of enzyme immunoassay (EIA) using ovalbumin — based immobilized conjugates for determination 2,4D in solutions was 10 ng/ml. The variant EIA in the antibody-immobilized format with peroxidase-2,4D conjugates was developed, that tenfold enhances the sensitivity (up to 1 ng/ml) competitive EIA.
