MECHANISMS OF INTOXICATIONS

XANTHINE OXIDASE, NITRIC OXIDE SYNTHASE AND PROTEIN KINASE C ACTIVITIES IN THE RAT LIVER UNDER CONDITIONS OF INTRODUCTIONS OF PHENOBARBITAL

V.V. Sumbayev, I.M. Yasinska

Peroral phenobarbital introductions to the organism of white Vistar rats during 30 days (20 mg per 1 kg of weight) are mediate xanthine oxidase and nitric oxide synthase inhibition. Also in the liver of phenobarbital injected rats the protein kinase C activity was significantly increased. It was established that phenobarbital is xanthine oxidase inhibitor but does not change the nitric oxide synthase activity in vitro.
