MECHANISMS OF INTOXICATIONS

CIRCADIAN AND CIRCANUAL RHYTHMS OF EPICHLORHYDRINE ACTIVITY

I.Yu. Vysotsky

In the experiments on the white rat-males line "Wistar" hold in the constant temperature and synchronized in regime 12 hours day: 12 hours night, showed that the toxity of epichlorhydrine (ECH) in the process of intrastomachic injection in considerable degree depends on daily (circadian) and season (circanual) biorhythms. As ECH was given in low, close to limited doses (1/10 LD50) maximum reaction to it noticed in 10—14 hours in winter season and when we used mortal doses of this substance — in 22—02 hours in summer season. Minimum susception to ECH used in the dose 1/10 LD50 fixed in 18—02 hours also in summer, autumn, and dose LD50 — in 10—14 hours also in winter. Sensitiveness to the dose ECH, composed 1/10 LD50 stay out of the phase of sensitiveness to LD50 during the studing daily rhythms in 12 hours, and season — approximately in 180 days. Made a hypothesis, that rhythms of sensitiveness to the low dose of ECH are, as we think, the function of the liver enzyme activity, taking part in the metabolism of the epoxyde substances and daily and season oscillation of LD50 — define by the rhythms of cerebral tissue sensitiveness to ECH.
