RENAL TOXICITY OF THE NONSTEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRUGS: CURRENT CONDITION OF A PROBLEM

The various aspects of renal toxicity of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are discussed. The main mechanisms of nephrotoxicity, their clinical and biochemical manifestations have been considered. It has been show, that the disbalance between the vasoconstrictors and vasodilatators agents, the reduction of synthesis of renal pros-taglandins and nitric oxide, the formation of chemicaly reactive intermediats, the dam-age of membran processes can be in basis of the NSAIDs nephrotoxicity.
