The in vitro interaction between isolated from rat liver cells the trascriptionally active and repressed nuclear chromatin fractions and synthesized new derivatives of pyridine carbone acides arylamides (PV-1 — PV-7) has been shown. This interaction was most intensive with nuclear chromatin DNA and proteins. Furthermore, the most active antioxidant from these substunces (PV-4) interacts more intensively with isolated chromatin components.
