THE STRUCTURE OF INHIBITORS OF METAL CORROSION: TOXICITY, CHARACTER OF INFLUENCE ON ORGANISM

V.V. Paustovska

The connection between the structure and toxicity of polymethylene amines, benzotria-zol, benzoic acid and their derivatives, which are used as inhibitors of metal corrosion, as well as their. Polymethylene amines form methemoglobin. Inhibitors perform polytropic influence on organism. The damage of specific organ or system is predetermined by the affiliation of the sub-stance to peculiar class, while within the class it depends on chemical structure. The disturbance of tissue respiration, carbohydrate, phosphorus and albumin metabolism are in the mechanism of toxic action. The data of experimental investigations of DAN (dicyclohexylamine nitrite), OSDA-11 (oil soluble salt of dicyclohexylamine), CAC (cyclohexylamine carbonate) on organ-ism were confirmed in workers' observations.
