The hypoammonemic activity of L-arginine L-glutamate in compared to activity of individ-ual amino acids mixture (arginine hydrochloride and glutamic acid) has been investigated. It has been established that 5-day long intraperitoneally treatment of L-arginine L-glutamate (400 mg/kg) decreases hyperammonemia, increases ureogenesis, restores acid-base balance. Respective effects of monodrugs of amino acids are certanly lower. Analysis of data obtained allow to conclude that use of L-arginine L-glutamate for treatment hyperammonemia is perspective.
