TREATMENT OF INTOXICATIONS

SOME PATHOGENETIC ASPECTS OF PLASMAPHERESIS APPLICATION IN COMBINED DETOXICATED THERAPY OF OPIATE WITHDRAWAL SYNDROME

V.Ya. Pishel

Combined clinical-laboratory and biochemical investigation of 60 patients with opiate withdrawal syndrome manifestation in dynamics — before and after the treatment with plasmapheresis application was carried out. An initial data bear witness to expressed intoxication syndrome and to disbalance of katecholamines metabolism in these patients as well. Performed therapy provided a high detoxication effect at the cost of elimination of medium molecules and another endotoxins and contributed the improvement of functional state of liver and kidneys as well as normalization of metabolism of biogenic amines and homeostasis as a whole. Results of the investigation testifies on the pathogenetic substantiation of plasmapheresis application in combined therapy of opiate withdrawal syndrome.
