D.O. Melnichuk, N.M. Melnikova, E.A. Derkach

There were explored the peculiarities of cadmium cumulation in the organism of experimental rats as well as the changes of biochemical characteristics of blood and the possibility of reduction of cumulative ability of the given xenobiotic by means of application of antioxidants (selenite of natrium, vitamine E) both before the introduction of cadmium sulphate and against the background of marked cadmium intoxication. Selenite of natrium and vitamine E, inserted into the organism are efficiently capable to prevent cadmium cumulation in all the organs under investigation.
