MECHANISMS OF INTOXICATIONS
TOXICITY OF LEAD AND ITS INFLUENCE ON PHYSIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF YEASTS
The comparative resistance estimation of 7 yeast strains to various concentration of lead ion was carried out. The most resistance strains of yeast were the pigmented strains Rhodotorula mucilaginosa УКМ-1776 and Cryptococcus sp. WT, which can adapt more easily for high concentration of lead in a medium. At all investigated strains in the medium with 50 mg/l of Pb2+ were observed the increase of log phase, reduction of exponential phase growth and increase the phase of slowed growth.
