APPLICATION OF A PROBIT ANALYSIS WITH USAGE MICROSOFT EXCEL FOR AN ESTIMATION OF PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIVITY AT THE ALTERNATE FORM OF THE REGISTRATION OF RESPONSES

The application of modern information technologies for estimation with usage of the weighted least squares method (LSM) and probit analysis of pharmacological activity with the alternate form of the registration of responses is considered. The program realized on a high-level language Visual Basic for Application (VBA) in the Microsoft Excel environment, for automation of calculations of values LD₅₀, LD₁₆, LD₈₄ etc. on the basis of experimental data is explained. Is showed on examples as, using Microsoft Excel, it is possible to calculate the above mentioned values. Two variants of calculations LD₅₀, LD₁₆, LD₈₄ — as with usage of the worksheet formulas of MS Excel, and using the reduced subroutine with detailed step presentation of executable operations are shown.
