THE PRESENT STATE AND DEVELOPMENT TRENDS IN SOME ASPECTS OF BIOCHEMISTRY, CHEMISTRY, MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND GENETICS OF CYTOCHROME P-450

N.Ya. Golovenko

Some aspects of structure and catalytic properties of cytochrome P-450 are discussed. Structire peculiarities of endogenous and exogenous substrates which are oxygenated by cytochrome P-450 monooxygenase dependent enzymes are shown. Up to late classification of cytochrome P-450 superfamily (family, superfamily, isoforms) and their evolution (genealogic tree) are described. The examples of transform in classification of gemoproteen isoforms from old to morden are shown. The main cytochrome p-450 isoforms which are present in human and experimental animals (mice, rats) are described.
