Statistical hypotheses are often tested with methodological mistakes and ignorance of specific aspects under hygienic regulation. Correct statement and testing of principal and alternative hypotheses would offer joint risk estimation of hypo- and hyperdiagnosis, would overcome the conceptual discords between investigators. Assumption of unfavorable effects of experimental treatment as principal hypothesis and the tolerance intervals about corresponding points are recommended for determination of maximum allowable or threshold limits.
